Rome City Schools
Student Honor Code

As a student of Rome City Schools, I shall always:
Tell the truth and not mislead others.
Ensure that the work I submit is my own.
Respect the property of others.
Expect honorable behavior of myself and others.

Rome City Schools is an award winning school district with outstanding achievement results. It is the mission of Rome City Schools to graduate all students prepared for college or work.

In addition to the rigorous curriculum and excellent academic experiences, Rome City Schools wants to collaborate with parents to make sure each student develops into an outstanding citizen. Each year a copy of the Student Honor Code will be sent home for the student and parents to discuss, then sign, and return to school. The honor code will be kept on file in the student’s homeroom.

The Rome City Schools Student Honor Code will be posted in each classroom and will be discussed periodically with students to encourage truthfulness, honesty, respect for others, and honorable behavior. In doing so, parents and schools will expect the very best from our students and will assist them as they grow into outstanding, well-educated citizens, who honor their parents, themselves, and their community.
